There is something so special about a November wedding at The Grands at Mulligans in St. Cloud, Minnesota. With the cozy atmosphere, beautiful indoor spaces, and well thought out layout, it is such a wonderful venue for couples planning a fall or winter wedding day in Central Minnesota. This wedding was full of meaningful moments, beautiful spaces, and so much warmth from beginning to end.

The day started in the bridal suite at The Grands at Mulligans, which is one of my favorite getting ready spaces at any local wedding venue. The bridal suite is spacious, beautifully designed, and filled with really flattering natural light. One of the standout details was the bride’s dress hanging from the barn doors, which made such a perfect backdrop for detail photos. The large mirror in the center of the room also became a key part of the getting ready images and added so much depth and softness to the space.

As the morning unfolded, there were so many sweet moments shared between the bride, her sister, and her daughters as they got ready together. These quiet, emotional parts of the day are always some of my favorite moments to photograph because they tell so much of the story and help preserve the feeling of the day in such a genuine way.
Once the bride was fully ready, she shared a fun and emotional first look with her bridal party, ending in a big group hug. It was such a sweet moment and a perfect way to begin the next part of the day. After that, I photographed a few getting ready moments with the groom before moving into one of the most beautiful parts of the venue for their first look.

The bride and groom’s first look at The Grands at Mulligans took place on the back porch, on the steps leading down to the giant oak tree. This is such a beautiful location for wedding photos and first looks, especially for couples who want an outdoor feel while still staying close to the main venue space. It has such a natural, romantic backdrop and works beautifully in every season.

After their first look, we spent some time taking bride and groom portraits as well as group photos before everyone headed back inside to warm up. One of the most meaningful parts of the day happened before the ceremony, when the couple took a quiet moment indoors to read their vows to each other. It was intimate, emotional, and such a beautiful way to slow down and soak in the significance of the day before the ceremony began.

Their ceremony was short, sweet, and held indoors, which made perfect sense for a Minnesota November wedding. One of the things I love about The Grands at Mulligans wedding venue is how smoothly the day flows, no matter the season. It is such a well run venue, and everything always feels organized, relaxed, and easy for couples and guests alike. That all inclusive feel really makes a difference on a wedding day.

After the ceremony, the celebration moved right into the reception and dance floor, which was such a fun part of the night. One of the things that always stands out to me at weddings at The Grands at Mulligans is how seamless the reception experience feels. Their on staff DJs do a great job keeping the evening flowing naturally while also bringing great energy to the dance floor, which always helps create such a fun atmosphere for everyone there.

The dance floor was especially fun to photograph throughout the night, and I was able to capture some creative shutter drag images that really helped show the movement, energy, and excitement of the reception.
As a St. Cloud wedding photographer, I always love photographing weddings at The Grands at Mulligans. It is a venue that offers beautiful getting ready spaces, gorgeous outdoor portrait locations, comfortable indoor ceremony options, and a reception space that always leads to a fun, memorable evening.
