One of my favorite things about senior sessions is getting to create photos that actually feel personal to each senior. This Central Minnesota senior session included a mix of riverfront photos, rustic outdoor locations, and motorcycle portraits at sunset that made the entire session feel unique to him and his personality.
As a St. Cloud senior photographer, I always encourage seniors to include locations, hobbies, vehicles, or interests that help make their session feel authentic and memorable.

One thing I always love recommending for senior sessions is choosing multiple locations that give a completely different feel throughout the evening. For this session, we started with more natural outdoor portraits near the water and wooded areas, then finished the night with sunset motorcycle photos on a quiet country road in Central Minnesota.
The combination gave the gallery a really relaxed and adventurous feel while still keeping the photos natural and timeless.

A lot of seniors tell me before their session that they feel awkward in front of the camera, but honestly, most people do at first. My goal during senior sessions is to keep things relaxed and easy so the photos feel genuine instead of overly posed.
Some of my favorite images from this session were actually the simple in between moments and natural expressions throughout the evening.

I photograph senior sessions throughout St. Cloud and Central Minnesota, including areas like Sartell, Sauk Rapids, Albany, St. Joseph, Sauk Centre, and surrounding communities. I love helping seniors choose locations that fit their personality, whether that means open fields, lakes, downtown areas, wooded trails, or something completely unique like incorporating a motorcycle or hobby into the session.
